1. The time it took in working with my Web Design Assignment was tedious. Overall, the experience was interesting and I found the skills to be very applicable with all of my uses of software and websites: trial and error. My website design turned out to be aesthetically pleasing to me and easy to navigate. Next time, I want to go above and beyond with extra gadgets and buttons on my site for children/parents to use.

2. Some new skills I have learned from Diigo are: bookmarking and expanding my annotation skills. I find it very useful to annotate everything I read when conducting research or completing assignments because the knowledge tends to stick with me when I take notes. The tools supplied by Diigo can be shared and my annotations may help people. All in all, Diigo grew on me after further use.

3. I believe teachers and students are equally at the forefront of driving innovative educational technology uses for the future (in different ways). Teachers hold the general knowledge and experience when it comes to technology and its implementation and children/students grow with the developing technology and its changes. These developments go hand-in-hand and to watch or stay updated with these changes, I use Updates to stay on track. The professional development is not limited to only teachers.

  1. Devyn,
You have a well designed website that is easy to navigate and use, in terms of the principles in C.R.A.P. :
Your concept works well, you have good design that is easy to find what you need.
Your site repeats the same themes, colors, and images, making it flow in a cohesive manner.
Your alignment was interesting, having to go into the agenda tab to find the other information such as activities rather than having a drop down made it a little harder to find but it was still where it should be.
And your proximity is good, you utilize the space well without it being too cluttered.

  2. Hey Devyn,

I really liked your website, i think it has a very nice look to it and it isn't overwhelming. Every part of the design works very well together! All of your tabs worked amazing and it was very easy to navigate through your site. I enjoyed reading through the information and about your "class"

  3. Hi Devyn! I really like your website. It's very easy to navigate and simple. I know that scrolling and scrolling to find what you need is irritating for students and parents. Great job! The only feedback I have is to potentially add more color, depending on the grade you're teaching. That's it, everything else is excellent!
